this table will attract a lot of attention. the 200+ year old wood used for these tables was rescued from a wet southern estate where over a thousand trees were blown over by a storm in 1998. all of the natural imperfections are left in plain view (knots, worm holes, pitch pockets, spalting, etc.). for this cocktail table the wood is oriented diagonally which gives the surface a decidedly fluid movement.
